Does Island Expeditions Co. offer any
group discounts?
Yes, we offer group discounts. The size of the discount is determined
by the number of people in the group and time of year they want to travel.
Please contact our office for details, and a quote based on your group size, and your desired trip schedule.
Does Island Expeditions Co. offer any
travel protection insurance?
We do not offer any travel insurance. However, we do recommend people
purchase their own medical and cancellation insurance and we help by
providing some contacts for this purpose.
What are my rooming options if I'm traveling
alone?
All of our trip accommodations are based on double occupancy. We try
to pair up single travelers based on their gender and with another traveler
with a similar profile. If a single tent is requested, we will do everything
possible to accommodate the request, based on available equipment. If
a single room is requested during a lodge stay, the guest will be required
to pay a nominal surcharge (typically $20-$50), locally at the hotel.
Please discuss this with one of our reservations staff before you depart
for Belize.
Can I change my mind and transfer to another
trip?
Yes, in most cases, if there is sufficient advanced notice (typically,
over the 60 day deposit schedule) and the space on the other trip is available, you can transfer
to another trip with no problems. There may be a $75 administration fee to transfer to another departure. If a trip change is requested without
proper notice our cancellation policy will take effect. Many trip costs
are incurred well in advance of a trip departure and others may have

Can Island Expeditions Co. guarantee
that my trip will run?
No, Island Expeditions Co. cannot guarantee that a trip will run.
However, with close to 30 years of operating tours in Belize we have rarely
had to cancel any of our trips. In the event that a trip is cancelled,
we notify the guests well in advance so that alternate travel arrangements
can be made. We will also help provide travel options whether it is
on one of our other departures, with another tour operator, or with
another lodge. |
