The Mayflower Bocawina National Park was established in 2001. The park consolidated the Commerce Bight and Silk Grass Forest Reserves, a section of the Sittee River Forest Reserve and also include the Three Sister and Bocawina Falls. The Mayflower Bocawina National Park is co-managed by local stakeholders, Friends of Mayflower Bocawina (FOMFB), the Forest Department and the Institute of Archaeology .
Situated on the border of the northeastern part of the Maya Mountains, this pristine Belize National Park offers untouched natural beauty. The park has many unexcavated Mayan mounds and many unexplored Mayan sites to discover.
