Belize Yoga-By-The-Sea

BELIZE YOGA-BY-THE-SEA
Meet Leslie Young

Leslie Young, yoga instructor Leslie Young, yoga instructor

We're excited to be offering yoga-by-the-sea on select island Basecamp adventures between now and April 2013. We've expanded the number of trips with yoga this season, and have a great lineup of new and returning certified instructors.

Today we're featuring yoga instructor Leslie Young, an avid traveler who is returning for her fourth year in Belize with Island Expeditions.

Introducing Leslie
We're happy to have Leslie Young back with us this season! Leslie has over 30 years experience with various styles of yoga. She has taught yoga in the Whistler, B.C. area since 1991 and is now based on Savary Island. Leslie divides her time between the ocean and the mountains. She has chosen a life of intentional simplicity, and is a lover of skiing and ocean play.

Leslie brings a clear, down-to-earth and creative teaching-style to her practice. Certified in both Iyengar and Vijnana, she responds to her classes in the moment, creating options for varying levels and offering modifications for individual needs. Whether you are beginner or experienced, you will enjoy Leslie's combination of meditative awareness, pranayama (breathing) and both gentle and dynamic asana (postures) that balance the body, calm the mind and expand the spirit.

Leslie will be teaching yoga on the March 25, 31 and April 8 trip departures for our Lighthouse Reef 8 night Basecamp adventure.

Lighthouse Atoll is Belize’s most remote and spectacular atoll, and home to the Blue Hole, made famous by the legendary underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau. All of our Basecamp trips include accommodations, meals, professional guides and sports instruction, plus unlimited use of kayaks, snorkels, stand up paddleboards and other equipment.
