Providing our guests with high quality paddling and snorkeling equipment is of great importance to us. We provide a top quality range of paddling equipment to match the activities on our trips and the conditions in Belize. Sea Kayak Gear
Out on the sea we use expedition quality double and single kayaks.
The Double kayaks are either fiberglass (Seaward Kayaks and Nimbus Kayaks) or rotomolded plastic construction (Necky Kayaks). All our kayaks offer comfortable seating, watertight gear hatches and are outfitted with custom designed 28 square foot sail rigs. The stable two-person kayaks are ideal for those new to sea kayaking, taller paddlers, and for families travelling with kids (plus, you can always paddle with one of your guides on longer travel days).
Our fleet of Single kayaks includes Necky Kayaks, Wilderness Systems, Boreal Design and P&H Kayaks. All of our single kayaks are rotomolded plastic construction with stable, wide-beam designs. They are particularly well-suited for tropical water paddling where kayaks are used extensively for snorkeling. We also have a selection of narrow-beamed, woman-specific, as well as kid friendly kayaks and Jackson white-water kayaks.
Paddles, PFD’s and Safety Gear
Our kayaks are all equipped with Aqua-Bound paddles with fiberglass and carbon fiber shafts. Sprayskirts are manufacturered by Brooks Paddle Gear, NRS, and Feathercraft. Each person is fitted to a proper paddling PFD from either Stohlquist, Salus, or Kokatat. Safety gear is from Northwater Paddle Sports.
SUP Gear
In addition to our Coral Islands SUP trip, we now offer Stand Up Paddleboarding equipment and guided instruction at our Lighthouse Reef and Glover’s Reef Adventure Basecamps and island lodges at Tobacco Caye and Southwater Caye. We have a fleet of BIC SUP's and Werner Paddles to suit first time to intermediate skill levels.
Snorkel Gear
For many of our guests, the highlight of their trip is the time spent exploring the wonders of the underwater world by snorkel. We offer Aqua Lung and Oceanic snorkel equipment.
