INTRODUCING OUR NEW RAINFOREST LODGE

Bocawina Rainforest Resort & Adventures

It’s official and we are thrilled to share the news with all of you!  We are now proud new partners with Don & Stasha Troutman of Bocawina Rainforest Resort and Adventures (www.bocawina.com).   We have been working closely with this unique eco-lodge for two seasons, operating our Rainforest Canopy Extension there.  The tropical jungle setting is the perfect complement to our Glovers Reef, Lighthouse Reef and Paradise Island adventures.

Bocawina (formerly Mama Noots Eco-Lodge) is a year-round eco-resort.  It is located in the heart of Mayflower Bocawina National Park, 7100 acres of lush jungle, refreshing waterfalls and unexcavated Mayan sites.  The resort runs on alternative energy and provides a true off-the-grid experience.

Bocawina Rainforest Resort offers a wide range of adventure, cultural and wildlife tours on-site, in the park and around Belize. It is home to the longest zip-line course in the region and a rappel from the top of two spectacular waterfalls (Antelope Falls and Bocawina Falls). For birders, more than 230 species of birds have been identified in the park!

SUMMER IN BELIZE

If you are looking for ideas for your summer holiday – consider Belize!  There are less tourists, prices are lower, and the pace of life is slow and easy.   The Caribbean Sea and large tracts of wilderness provide a cooling effect, and the average year round temperature remains fairly steady at around 84° F (29°C).

Summer offers the chance to explore the mainland of Belize and experience the culture of its people. Climb to the top of ancient Mayan ruins, descend deep to explore the underground caves that were sacred in their religions, or fly through the rainforest canopy on a zip-line.

Stay Cool in the Jungle

Vacation in the rainforest, and enjoy the refreshing, cooler climate that the jungle canopy provides.  Have a relaxing swim in the emerald pools at the top of a breathtaking waterfall.

Unlimited Adventure

Whether it’s a zip-lining, hiking, birding, or visiting ancient ruins, summer in Belize offers something for everyone – from families and retirees to adventurers of any age.

Our Top Summer Picks

Visit the Maya World - The Maya World Adventure (www.mayaworld.travel) takes you into the heart of the Ancient Mayan Civilization.  Journey to Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, and visit the ruins of Lamanai and Altun Ha.

Stay in the Jungles of Mayflower Bocawina National Park – Check out our Rainforest Canopy Package (www.rainforestcanopy.travel).  Alternately, book a few nights directly with Bocawina Rainforest Resort and pick your own activities and adventures.

Add some Beach Time – Just twelve miles from the jungles of Bocawina is the seaside Garifuna village of Hopkins. Sign yourself up for some adventure-time in the rainforest, then spend a few nights at Parrots Cove Lodge (www.parrotscovelodge.com) or Beaches and Dreams (www.beachesanddreams.com).
