The Embassy of Mexico will be hosting the opening ceremony of the Pen Cayetano Art Exhibition “Our Heritage” today, November 12, 2015, at the Institute of Mexico in Belize City.

Born in 1954 in Dangriga, Pen Cayetano is a self-taught painter and musician.

In his paintings he portrays scenes of everyday life in Belize and is inspired from his own Garifuna heritage, history and culture.

The exhibition will be open from November 12, 2015 to December 11 2015. The Institute of Mexico is located at the corner of Newtown Barracks and Wilson Street, in Belize City.

If you are in Dangriga, be sure to visit the wonderful Pen Cayetano Studio Galley.
