WestJet Announces Direct Flight from Calgary to Belize

Great News! Belize just got closer for Western Canada.


We are very excited to share this news from WestJet. This morning July 24th, WestJet announced a direct non-stop service from Calgary to Belize for the winter. 


This new non-stop weekly service between Calgary and Belize will start on November 3, 2017. This news comes along with the announcement that WestJet will be increasing service for the winter schedule including more flights from Calgary to Vancouver, Toronto, Fort McMurray, Kelowna, Brandon, Grande Prairie, Kitchener, Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix, Palm Springs, Cancun and Cabo San Lucas. This will make connecting to Calgary for this new non-stop flight to Belize easier than ever.


In the press release, Brian Znotins, WestJet Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development said "We are pleased to announce new service to Belize as well as an additional 52 flights per week this winter which will help drive growth at the airport and in the community. As the carrier with more flights from Calgary International Airport than any other, we have designed our Calgary flight schedules to deliver 55 per cent more connecting itineraries which will help to launch new flights in future seasons and further expand our presence in YYC – a key driver in economic and employment growth in the city." 


Here are the details of WestJet's new nonstop service between Calgary and Belize:


Calgary (YYC) to Belize City (BZE)

  • Departs weekly on Fridays
  • Departs Calgary (YYC) at 9:15 AM
  • Arrives Belize City (BZE) at 2:51 PM
  • Service starts on November 3, 2017


Belize City (BZE) to Calgary (YYC)

  • Departs weekly on Fridays
  • Departs Belize City (BZE) at 3:45 PM
  • Arrives Calgary (YYC) at 10:06 PM
  • Service starts on November 3, 2017

One-way Fares Are Available Starting From CAD $279:


WestJet is offering special introductory pricing for this new route. One-way fares are available from just $279 per person, including all taxes.
