National Geographic has a number of "Wild Cams", which are cameras based throughout the world in special places which significant wildlife sightings. National Geographic recently set up one of these wild cams, a short distance off of our island basecamp on Glovers Reef . The camera is installed 600 meters (1969 feet) off of Southwest Caye, in 20 meters (66 feet) of water.

The Glovers Reef Atoll, World Heritage Site, is a globally important ecosystem, and WildCam Belize Reef will bring attention to it during the 2008 World Conservation Congress in October.

Be sure to download, or have realplayer already installed on your computer in order to view the camera.
